Vincenzo Panormo

Vincenzo was an Italian luthier, who had a passion for the English style violins. He Was born in Palermo, in 1734. He studied violin making in Naples, having as masters the Gagliano family.

In 1753 he moved to Paris where he continued his studies. When the French Revolution began, he moved to Dublin and after a while to London, where he worked until his death in 1813.

He is known to be the finest English violin maker.

Vincenzo a fost un lutier Italian, care a avut o mare pasiune pentru viorile englezesti. S-a nascut in Palermo, in 1734. A studiat luteria in Napoli, avandu-i ca indrumatori pe cei din familia Gagliano.

In 1753 s-a mutat la Paris unde si-a continuat studiile. Atunci cand Revolutia Franceza a inceput, s-a mutat in Dublin si dupa o scurta perioada la Londra, unde a lucrat pana la moartea sa in 1813.

El este cunoscut ca unul dintre cei mai fini lutieri in stil englez.
